December 29th 2009: Well! What a success that was! Hundreds of people dropped in over the 3 weeks 'GIFTED' was open, full of praise for the fabulous and varied works available. Many dropped in more than once to see all the new things, that came in almost dayly, from our gifted local artists. Many a happy customer left our doors, happy with their purchases and with the promise of a similar offering next Christmas. To all the artists that contributed, to all the volunteers that helped and to the public that thronged through the door, we at the gallery thank you from the bottom of our easels for your support! We wish you happy holidays and a Safe and Prosperous 2010! We will be closed until January 8th, when we'll reopen with a bang ...and a fright! With Rachel Weaver's "MONSTER MASH"!!! It's a themed opening so dress in your scariest best and let's get the year started with a scream or two!! Best costume will win a print from the Artist!! Hope to see you there!!
December 7th 2009 'GIFTED'
With the generous help of our volunteers, ACDC's first Artisans Christmas Gift Shop opened this morning! ...With people waiting to get in as we rushed to get things finalised! The doors opened at 10 am, as they will every day till Christmas, and we'll be open till 4 each day.
This is a cash and carry event for the floor stock with Friday (3pm) pick ups for the hanging stock. We have over 30 Artists offering their works for sale, and new work coming out as works are sold. The variety of works, mediums and styles is a delight! I'm sure there's something that'll tickle your fancy!
